Half way there!
Our personal and work lives often cross over. When it comes to digital devices such as phones and laptops, we're often tempted to use one device for both.
There is a concept in CyberSecurity called The Four Levels of Data Classification. This takes into account the sensitivity, nature, required accessibility, need or value and confidentiality requirements of the data. The data is then categorised as Public, Internal, Confidential or Restricted. Each type of data requires different handling methods - for example, you wouldn't mix Public and Restricted data on a removable (and easily lost) USB stick. Likewise, you won't allow Restricted data to reside on a personal laptop that sits open with TikTol playing in the loungeroom after you head to bed at night.
The message here is - do not use your personal device for business activities or your business device for personal activities. It is highly recommended that you maintain a level of separation between different devices for different purposes, especially when you are handling sensitive information.
To phrase this differently - If you were downloading movies or watching Netflix on your business device, it's probably best to find some other device to do this on. The likelihood of something going wrong at some point and causing you issues is too high.
